Veterans Day Murals and Program Part 1
The 2016 Veterans Day program was very touching. Our art students in all grade levels Pre K - 12th grade participated in the creation of artwork honoring our brave men and women who answered the call and served their country.
Elementary Art Cubs visit Sedalia and the Daum Museum at SFCC
At the end of last year, the newly formed (as of this school year 2016-17) Climax Springs Elementary Art Club (the Art Cubs) visited State Fair Community College's Daum Museum. We participated in a VTS (visual thinking strategies) program where students were encouraged to investigate artworks and discover information about the art they are viewing. Students examined the work and noted specific elements of the work and shared those findings with the class where those findings were discussed in a conversation of discovery.
