My 2nd grade students read the book "A Color of His Own" by Leo Lionni.  They designed their own chameleon and wrote 2 to 3 facts that they learned in further studies of the interesting lizards.  For instance, did you know that 1/2 of the worlds entire population of chameleons live on the island of Madagascar?

 

Did you also know that most chameleons can change color in as little as 20 seconds?

Did you also know that typically, a chameleons tongue is twice the size of it's body length?

 

Did you also know that a chameleon's range of eye sight is 360 degrees and that it can look in two different directions at the same time?
