Enlarged Grid Portraits

Each year, the Climax Springs high school art classes are challenged with the assignment of creating a large grid portrait of a historic person.  This year, in an effort to mix it up a little bit, each class was given an option: Create a face or a place.  Students select 1 by 1 inch grids and transfer what is on that small grid to a larger 12 inch square sheet of paper. Each year, the photos are different.  This years photos are of Baseball legend Satchel Paige, noted author Maya Angelou and the iconic Easter Island.
